| 18th Oct '09 | Av priority - Devil's Punch Bowl | Sunday. A trip to the Devil's Punch Bowl near Hindhead was an opporunity not to be missed. To be honest, I don't need an excuse like a photography course to take my camera on a walk but I was going to have to focus (no pun intended!) on some shallow and wide apperature photography. My choice of weapons where the 14-35mm lens and the 100 F2.8 for those extreme close ups. The scene was set, the weather was good and I think I delivered the goods. Well, take a look for yourself... |
| 17th Oct '09 | Av priority - Home | Saturday. This week's homework was to demonstrate shallow and wide depth of field. I had a few hours to kill at home on Saturday morning and the sun was streaming through the living room window. Normal people would go outstide but I had dug out the first two Pet Shop Boys LPs (Please and Actually). That was when I had the great idea of getting the tripod out and attempting some close up shots of my hifi. The end result was this series of photographs. On showing them to Penny, I was reminded that I actually take much nicer shots of flowers - it was getting on by now (it is nearly Winter of course) so there are a few at the end. |
